Dr Luke is an experienced urologist practicing at the Sunshine Coast University Public and Private Hospitals.

He offers comprehensive care across the breadth of general urology, including PSA screening and prostate cancer management, bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment, managing of benign prostate enlargement, renal stones and scrotal pathology.  He has a particular interest and advanced training in

  • Reconstructive Urology such as the management of urethral strictures and male incontinence.

  • Laparoscopy for management of malignant and benign urological conditions.

  • Complex renal stone management including supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).

Originally from Ukraine, Dr Luke spent most of his life in New Zealand and Australia. After completing his medical degree, he did research on the pathogenesis of Polycystic Kidney Disease at Heidelberg University in Germany. After that he completed residency and urology training in New Zealand in 2013.

He then undertook post-fellowship subspecialty training in advanced laparoscopic urology in Australia and reconstructive urology in India. He has been practicing as a consultant urologist both privately and in public hospital in Dunedin, New Zealand since 2014. From 2023 he also worked intermittently at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. His family relocated permanently to the Sunshine Coast in 2025, and he commenced private practice there as well.
